Travel information

Tours is located on the lower reaches of the Loire River between Orlean and the Atlantic ocean and it is the largest city of the beautiful and historic Loire Valley region. The city can be reached easily by fast train (TGV) from Paris, Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) to Tours Centre via St. Pierre-des-Corps railway station. St. Pierre-des-Corps station is a 5-min taxi or bus trip to the city of Tours. The travel time via train to Tours from CDG is app. 1.5h. For details, consult the website of the French railways (www.sncf.com). The city can also be reached from Paris by car on the autoroute A 10 or « L’Aquitaine » in the direction to Bordeaux app. 250 km from Paris through exit 21 Tours-Centre.

Tours is a middle size city with many hotels, but early booking is still highly recommended as the conference is already during the holiday season. For accommodation, please, consult the ICAR 2016 webpage on the ICAR site or on atibooking site.
